jung jang jig

Jung Jang Jig has set a series of white posts in the earth that together form the shape of a diamond. In the centre is a post that could, as the centre point – point Zero- signifying all that is human – the yin and the yang.  Or it could be the beginning and the end of all things, the point of perpetual motion, of continual change. Seen in the context of nature, this assemblage with its strings and white posts has a pure minimalist aesthetic - HARMONY. Simply expressed, Father Sky and Mother Earth exist within this artwork created within the scale of life… Energy is in the space between each post, each successive post, each string drawing from post to post, a very refined interpretation of life.
