Zsolt Siklodi’s has brought together a site-specific installation using wood elements, like mechano-natural branches consisting of a series of attached cylinders... all this fabulous assemblage, painted white, echoes the vertical linear character of the trees. And so here we have integration, a way of drawing art into the environment, and that builds a counter-point with the trees themselves (which incidentally have been planted in a linear fashion and are not at all wild or natural in their growth). The assemblage elements stand out in this forest interior setting not far from the campsites families come to stay on weekends. Siklodi refers to his piece as “Dancing with Trees”. Details like carved inner circles that have rings painted red, give the impression this tree-like series of vertical zig-zag sculptures, are living bodies with blood, that have been dramatically cut. A very visual and perceptual art installation Siklodi’s art is ever changing according to the light, time of day, the season of the year, and the way we visually read or interpret it.
